The National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service - ATTRA - was developed and is managed by the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT). The ATTRA website is a great resource for all aspects of organic agriculture.
Another service of ATTRA is Ask a Sustainable Agriculture Expert where users can submit questions specifically concerning their own operations and/or problems.
ATTRA also maintains a comprehensive database of Sustainable Farming Internships and Apprenticeships where producers can post free listings for openings in their operation.

Organic Farming Research Institute – Source of the latest information on policy and research in organic agriculture and grants for on farm research.
The Alternative Farming Systems Information Center (AFSIC) specializes in identifying resources about sustainable food systems and practices in support of USDA's effort to ensure a sustainable future for agriculture and farmers worldwide.
The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) provides organic certifiers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers an independent review of products intended for use in certified organic production, handling, and processing. OMRI’s lists of generic and brand name materials allowed for use in certified organic production and processing is an industry standard for evaluating inputs in organic operations.

Oregon State University Oregon Small Farms provides information for the commercial small farmer. Wide range of news, technical reports, and related conferences and educational opportunities for small producers with much information related to sustainable production techniques.
University of California - Davis Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program – provides access to university based research, publications and grant funding.
Cornell University Small Farm Program – provides access to university based research, publications and projects with a focus on the Northeast Region.
Cornell University also sponsors The NY Beginning Farmers Project which provides information and classes for new and diversifying farmers.
University of Maryland Small Farm Program – provides access to university based research, publications and projects with a focus on the Mideast Region.
University of Illinois Small Farm Program – provides access to university based research, publications and projects with a focus on the Midwest Region.
University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension Beginning & Small Farm Programs – is a good resource for those new to organic agriculture. Also provides a wide range of information on production techniques for the Northeast Region.
The New England Small Farm Institute presents a wide range of information for new and established farmers with a focus on New England.
The NESFI also maintains a place for farms to list agricultural opportunities in their operations.
