Record Your Livestock Activities
This section of the notebook is where you log in the activities you conduct in the production of livestock and related products. Use the green tabs to select the appropriate page. To record an activity, click the green "Add Record" button. Choose from the lists of Field names, Herd/Flock Id #, etc. that you have previously used, or add new names.
You might save time by duplicating entries and changing them. Click the plus symbol to duplicate and edit a line. To make changes to an existing line, click the
pencil symbol.
Once entered, this activity information will provide a database that will be used to generate reports. You will be able to organize and analyze this data, filtering by ranges of years, materials used, specific herds or flocks, fields, etc.
Feeding: Enter in information about the rations and supplements fed to your livestock.
Pasturage: Enter in data about the access to pasture you give your livestock.
Health Care: Enter in records about vaccinations, treatments for disease, surgeries, and sanitation treatments.
Cleaning: Enter in information about when and how you clean your facilities & equipment.
Breeding: Enter in data about the breeding activity of your livestock, including sires, breeding and delivery dates, methods and offspring.
Production: Enter in data about production of various meat and animal byproducts, including slaughter and sales records.
Eggs: Enter in data about the collection and sale of eggs.
Milk: Enter in data about the collection and sale of milk.
